Skagen Speedrun Team Relay

Skagen Speedrun Team Relay was a 500 km team relay through Denmark, created to bring endurance, teamwork and purpose together in one challenge.

Four cars set out with five runners on each team, with every runner covering roughly 100 km along the way. The format demanded consistency, teamwork and the ability to keep moving when the distance started to hurt.

We ran in support of Psykiatrifonden and raised approximately DKK 37,000 for mental health. What started as a physical challenge became something bigger, a shared effort built around pushing limits, supporting each other and contributing to a cause beyond the race itself.

What is this event about?

The Speedrun Team Relay was a 500 km team running challenge from Skagen to Copenhagen. Four cars, each carrying a team of five runners, worked together to cover the route in relay stages.

Each runner completed roughly 100 km along the way, handing over to teammates and keeping the team moving south towards Copenhagen. The event was built around endurance, teamwork and the shared experience of taking on something bigger than a normal race.

Who is this event for?

The relay brought together runners ready to take on a demanding long-distance team challenge. With five runners per car and approximately 100 km per person, the event required consistency, preparation and a willingness to work for the team.

The focus was not only on pace, but on supporting each other through the distance and keeping the relay moving from Skagen to Copenhagen.

What does it take to participate?

Participants needed to be comfortable with long-distance running and prepared to cover multiple relay sections throughout the event. With roughly 100 km assigned to each runner, recovery, pacing and teamwork played a major role from start to finish.

You did not need to be an elite runner, but you did need to arrive prepared to challenge yourself, contribute to the team and keep going when the distance got tough.

What is included in the price?

Participation included the full Speedrun Team Relay from Skagen to Copenhagen, race organisation, route planning and the logistics required to keep all four teams moving throughout the event.

The project also supported Psykiatrifonden, with approximately DKK 37,000 raised for mental health along the way.
